My love affair: my cupcakes & my camera

There are two things that I love: baking and photography. So, it’s quite natural that on a cloudy afternoon when I’m under the weather my kids decided to make me cupcakes to help me “get well soon”! My nine year, an avid reader, said “Mommy write down your recipe?” Now, in my family we don’t share recipes with ANYONE. But as my grandmother shared hers with me, I gladly did the same with my precious ones.

Take a look at The Cutest Cupcake Making Video Ever! I’m surprised I had a kitchen left!

Here’s the strawberry cupcake recipe that has been passed down to me! If my grandmother ever finds out about this, I’m in deep trouble! Luckily, she only goes to online to check her “Wheel of Fortune” code to see if she won a 7 day vacation to the casino! Here’s the recipe that’s sure to melt your heart!

Ingredients:

3 eggs

1/2 cup of vegetable oil

1/2 cup of fresh strawberries chopped

1/2 cup of water

1/4 cup of Imperial Sugar

1 box of Strawberry Cake Mix

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, vegetable oil, strawberries, eggs, and water in large bowl and mix well. Bake in a greased cup cake pans dusted with flour for 20-25 minutes. And enjoy!! Cupcakes are sooo good, frosting is just “icing on the cake”!

Here’s a picture of my grandma & I!
