The Unboxed Project Photography Exhibition Atlanta Edition

The second stop on The Unboxed Project tour was the great city of Atlanta on Sunday, October 27 at the magnificent Blue Mark Studios! The room was filled with portrait photographers, art enthusiasts, parents, and 5 teens that are a part of the photography exhibit. Getting a chance to pour into teens across the United States is everything I could have dreamed of and more.
When I launched The Unboxed Project, photography exhibit, I knew I wanted to challenge adults and the media to see teens as I see them: smart, talented, witty, and full of happiness. As a former classroom teacher, I know first hand that we as adults don’t always get to see the real them but someone who’s struggling to fit and not sure of who they are. The teens and young adults featured in the exhibit are daily taking the world by storm and making their dreams come true. Meet two Kennesaw State University sophomores Hannah & Lexington and high school freshman Ananda who without a shadow or a doubt will make a difference in the years to come.

This was an awesome exhbit. This is the beginning of great things. Thank you Tomaiya for allowing us to see our teens as you see them and not how the media portrays them. This is our future and I really believe the country is in safe hands despite what the media says and the conclusions we create from it.
